David Faulkner serves as one of the principals and project managers at Pace Development Group, Inc.. He has served actively in the construction and engineering industry for twenty years. He began his career after graduating in 1992 with a degree in Civil Engineering from NC State University. While in school, he was also a member of the honor fraternity, Chi Epsilon.
Upon graduation, David began his career in construction with The Hardaway Company, based out of Columbus, GA. While with Hardaway, he worked in the Heavy Civil Division as a field and project engineer on large scale bridge, road and seaside construction projects located up and down the east coast. Of particular interest, he had the opportunity to serve as one of the project engineers which oversaw the construction of the Chesapeake Bay Bridge replacement project in 1995-1997. He also spent several years working on several other heavy civil engineering projects located along the coast of SC and Florida.
In 1998, he relocated to Charlotte to work for a family owned commercial flooring business, Re-Source, NC.
In 2000, David was asked to join Pace Development Group where he is now a principal. While at Pace, David has served as a project manager as well as provided engineering support for a variety of residential and multi-family projects.
David is married to Lesley and has two children, Hollis (13) and Luke (16). He enjoys, serving his church and participating in a variety of outdoor activities including cycling and backpacking. He also currently serves actively as a leader in his son’s Boy Scout troop as well.
David has been instrumental in helping organize one of Charlotte’s largest charity cycling teams that participates in the national event known as “24 Hours of Booty”. Under his leadership, Team Reeb, has become one of the largest fundraisers in the event and has helped raise millions of dollars for the cause of funding Cancer research.
